Every gig and release meant the world as it involved us five working together on something we cared about. The very notion that other people would care as well was a humbling surprise. As a group, we were able to play at our favourite venues, at festivals we previously attended and alongside other bands we genuinely adore and respect. Leeds is and was a beautiful place to be a band, and we were so lucky to have been a part of the music scene when we were.
We in the band all now live in different parts of the country, working on different projects, living very different lives. We haven’t played together since 2013, and while there are other half-recorded song files and folders, we needed to let this one out before we go totally silent. This song was always one of our favourites to perform together - as loud as we could - over words attempting to make light and sense of difficult times.
This release is a wave goodbye, and with it go endless thanks to the friends, family, promoters, producers, engineers and everyone else who put us up and put up with us. Love xxxxx
